Kameron Spencer has had an extensive journey throughout the YES family for years. She first volunteered with her church youth group at the age of 13. Kameron fell in love with the outreach of our annual Christmas Store and began volunteering during each college break. In 2016, Kameron began working as an intern at the YES McIver Center. When our Reading Initiative took a leap and added 2nd - 5th grade students, Kameron led the forces to help youth succeed by improving youths’ literacy skills and attitudes toward reading. During our leadership transition process, Kameron served as our YES McIver Center Interim Director during the summer of 2019. And now, Kameron has broadened her scope of service with not only our Reading Initiative, but also as our Program Outcome Specialist. Monitoring outcomes enables the agency to measure the impact of enrichment programs, track advancement toward short, intermediate, and long-term goals, and evaluate strategic priorities. Kameron's heart surely says YES, and as an Exceptional Education major, she will move mountains with her desire to make a difference for Nashville's most vulnerable children. When she's not loving her YES babies, Kameron enjoys spending time with her one baby..... her 3lb. long haired Chihauahua, Khloe!
